Make Light Work are a husband and wife team who love weddings, thrive on photography and are always trying out new creative ideas. While photography and videography is a speciality, a joint interest in design, marketing and publishing means we also spend a fair amount of time working to support local businesses with their online and printed presence.

After more than a decade in design and marketing, I decided to concentrate on what I loved most –  photography, film making and web design. I’m happiest when I can see that my work makes other people happy, and so for me – weddings are about as good as it gets. I’ve also had a lot of experience in small business marketing and I find that highly visual websites (with great supporting images) can really help to get businesses noticed.

I consider myself very fortunate to be able to do a job I love – but it’s the people that I get to work with that makes it special for me. None more so than my wife Vanessa.

To me, wedding photography is about capturing the details you may miss on your special day. I know from my own experience it can hurtle past in a blur, so I watch out for those personal moments that are unique to your wedding.

Most importantly, I’ll make sure everyone is relaxed, at ease and enjoying the experience. Whether it’s a family portrait or entertaining a newborn, I aim to make it a fun experience – and keep my eyes peeled for the opportunity to inject a little extra sparkle.
